Mitchell Resnick
President
Mr. Resnick is the President of WDIP where he leads the firm and is responsible for setting its overall strategy. He joined Walker & Dunlop in 2016 and was the Treasurer of the firm prior to assuming his new role at WDIP in 2022.
Before joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Resnick was with Freddie Mac where he led the multifamily division’s Capital Markets team. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs in New York & London trading various structured products.
Mr. Resnick received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.

Marcus Duley
Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Duley joined WDIP in 2021 as a Managing Director on the investments team, where he leads investment transaction execution for WDIP’s equity and debt investment vehicles.
Prior to joining WDIP, Mr. Duley was a Managing Director at LEM Capital (“LEM”), an institutional real estate private equity fund manager focused on value-add multifamily equity investments. In this role he led the firm’s portfolio management and investment transaction execution functions where he coordinated, negotiated and provided oversight for all investment related transactions including acquisitions, financings and dispositions for over $3 billion of real estate. He oversaw the firm’s valuation process and fund level projections, subscription facilities and worked closely with the acquisition, asset management and accounting departments on a wide range of operational, reporting and portfolio management processes and procedures. He also was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and Valuation Committee. Prior to LEM Capital, Mr. Duley was a Vice President at LEM Mezzanine, the predecessor firm to LEM, which originated and invested in structured commercial real estate debt. In this position he managed the underwriting, due diligence, loan documentation, intercreditor/co-lender agreement documentation and closings of $360 million of primarily subordinated debt investments in $2.6 billion of real estate. Additionally, he was responsible for loan workouts and restructuring for special assets. Before joining LEM Capital and its predecessor, Marcus was a Commercial Real Estate Credit Manager at Wachovia Bank and prior to business school he was a Client Service Representative at the Vanguard Group and a Field Marketing Specialist at Black & Decker.
Marcus holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland and a Masters of Business Administration from Temple University.

Arielle Dahlgren
Chief Financial Officer
Arielle Dahlgren is the Chief Financial Officer of WDIP. Ms. Dahlgren joined WDIP in 2018 as Accounting Manager and eventually Controller before being named CFO in February 2023. As CFO, she manages the accounting and finance teams and is responsible for internal and external financial reporting, audit, and tax. Ms. Dahlgren is a CPA with more than ten years of technical accounting, tax compliance, and private equity experience.
Before joining WDIP, Ms. Dahlgren worked for Schneider (SNDR), a multinational corporation that provides transportation and logistics services. In this role, she focused on GAAP accounting, SEC reporting, financial analysis, and internal controls. In addition, she worked through their IPO process and subsequent SOX implementation while supporting their M&A efforts. Prior to Schneider, Ms. Dahlgren worked for Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, a full-service public accounting firm, where she provided tax and attestation services with an emphasis on multistate tax compliance and high-net-worth tax planning.
Ms. Dahlgren holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay. Ms. Dahlgren also maintains an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

Geoff Smith
Senior Managing Director, Group Head & Chief Production Officer l Debt
Geoff Smith is the Senior Managing Director, Group Head of Debt, and Chief Production Officer for WDIP, the investment management and proprietary capital arm of Walker & Dunlop, Inc. Mr. Smith joined W&D in 2014 and his diverse real estate experience in investment banking, mortgage origination, trading, syndication, and development has allowed him to invest over $17 billion in real estate debt and equity assets over his career. His experience includes creating and operating commercial real estate debt, mezzanine and equity platforms, serving on investment committees and boards, and participating in capital formation strategies.
Prior to joining W&D, Mr. Smith served as a senior executive serving in various capacities including origination, credit, asset management and trading with Hudson Realty Capital, Natixis, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan and Nomura Securities.
Mr. Smith earned his AB in Economics and History from Duke University.

Brian Cornell
Manager Director, Portfolio Manager | Equity
Mr. Cornell joined WDIP in 2019 as a Senior Director. His responsibilities include sourcing, structuring, and underwriting investment opportunities across the fund investment platform.
Prior to joining WDIP, Mr. Cornell was a Senior Vice President at Amstar, a Denver-based real estate private equity firm. While at Amstar, Mr. Cornell was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, and asset managing value-add investments across multiple product types throughout the United States. Before Amstar, Mr. Cornell served as Vice President at Broe Real Estate, overseeing asset management of the firm’s national office portfolio. Mr. Cornell began his career in Los Angeles at Secured Capital (now Eastdil Secured), where he assisted on investment sale and debt placements exceeding $3 billion in total transaction volume.
Mr. Cornell holds a Bachelor of Science in economics with a concentration in finance and accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Ryan Castle
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Castle joined WDIP in 2015 and is responsible for implementing strategic and operational initiatives, forming new investment vehicles, and overseeing WDIP’s investor relations, business development, marketing and human resource functions. Mr. Castle is a voting member of the Funds’ Investment Committee.
Prior to joining WDIP, Mr. Castle was a Senior Associate with Green Courte Partners, LLC, a Chicago-based real estate private equity firm focused on investing in niche real estate operating companies, where he was responsible for acquisitions. In this role, he supported the strategic acquisition or development of over $500 million in assets.
Before Green Courte, Mr. Castle was a Financial Analyst with Baxter International, Inc., where he held several roles within the corporate finance division.
